What effect does switching from a sedentary lifestyle to one constant activity have on peripheral neuropathy?
Besides seemingly exacerbating symptoms. Is there a limit to how much time should be spent on ones feet, i.e is there a level at which this becomes counter productive to a goal of stimulating nerve regrowth? Not one activity sorry.......one OF constant activity.....i'e I am now on my feet most of the waking day, until about a month ago my health issues were making this near impossible. I have also quit a ten a day smoking habit so detoxification would seem more likely possible now.I have raised uric acid levels as well so I am not sur what is producing the tingles come sharp stabs of pain. I had to have an epidural into the base of my spine in 2008 because of a slipped disk, but so far this hasn't been too problematic. It seems there are more than one possible reasons for the sensations...my main concern is, should I dial back the exercise a bit, or push through the discomfort.
What are other causes of neuropathy besides diabetes? Why would my other doctors deny my diagnosis?
I'm a 21 year old female. I been having pains, and circulation problem on my legs and arms, I been diagnosed with neuropathy just a few months ago. Other doctors don't believe in the test results. Some of them deny that I have neuropathy even after the test results show that I have it. Since I don't have diabetes, my doctor deny my diagnoses.
I'm having issues describing neuropathy to a friend?
I have a friend Don't know how much of a friend he is, now who asked me what was wrong with me medical wise. Short description, I have neuropathy in my Right foot part of the leg, and I can't feel touching, but I can feel burning pains when I get an ulser. Long description, Basically, I had spinal surgery in 2010 on my Back to remove a tumor that had been there from birth, I just didn't know until 2010 came, and to untether my spinal cord. Because of this surgery, I was left with no feeling below my belly button for a while, but in a few weeks, I regained feeling Semi feelings I guess you could say in my left leg, my bladder and bowl, and most of my left foot. However, since there were more nerves on the right side of the tumor At least the doctor said , I still had no feeling in my right leg, and after 1 year or so, I got semi feeling back all the way down to...I'd say between my foot and knee, but mostly my foot is the issue. So I told him this, I said I couldn't feel in my foot, but sometimes I can feel burning pains and some temperature changes in my foot, but mostly when I get an ulcer from a new shoe or something like that. He then says " I take GCSE Science and My brother is going into the field of radiology, we both know your condition doesn't exist and that you are exaggerating it for sympathy" , and I'm not doing it for that. I didn't change my story, however, I simply tried to make it easier for someone with less knowledge of the situation, to understand. He then said I was changing my condition for Sympathy. So, What I'm asking you people, is if your in this field of nerves, or anything medical related, does such a condition exist, have you seen it before, and do you have a message for this person Since I'm going to link him to this to keep him from attacking me ? I also take Marinol, or medical cannabis, Hydrocodone APAP, Valium, and Gabapentin for this condition And for back pain , all which can help with those burning pains, if that helps explain anything to you. I'm also 14, so it makes it super difficult to get someone my age to understand. Thanks a lot I'm not a diabetic, to clear that up.

Experiencing neuropathy at only 30 years old? Doctors please answer?!?
Hello. I am only 30 and experiencing a sudden onset of neuropathy. I have been researching but am unable to determine what might have caused it.Within the last few days I have given in to a chocolate craving that had been neglected and ended up eating alot more chocolate than I should have. I am wondering if eating the chocolate has raised blood sugar levels. Could I be diabetic? But doesn't one have to be diabetic for many years for neuropathy to take effect?

Help Searioust Diabetic/Neuropathy question?
My mom has had diabetic neuropathy for some years now. Obviousley she had burning feet and has to take a pill for it. However, these past few days the pain has been diffrent, they are extreamley sore when she stands and walks on them, getting off of her feet makes it a lot better but there still sore. And touching them or pushing on the bottem of her feet dosent make them sore at all. The concern is that after quite a few years of having it, this kind of pain is new. Has anyone else experienced this overnight change.
