Can you get social security with juvenile diabetes?
I have juvenile diabetes, with seizures, about 3 4 times a month...the doctors have took my drivers license away,....I have had this for about 25 years,....It was a lot worse a few months ago, but I have got on a pump which has helped little....I go low and have no ideal what is going on or where I am...I have been denied for social security but now I am waiting on a hearing, I just wondering if there is others out there who have this disease and have got there social security?juvenile diabetes it what you get when your a kid I was 15 when I got diagnosed and I am now 39, and yes people say I can work, but what happens if Im at work and i go low and fall in to a machine, or drive a fork lift in to a wall or someone, or driving home i go low and crash my car and kill someone, or even forget that im at work or where ever or what ever I am doing, and if you see me seizing do you know what to do, how to react before it is to late

i think i have diabetes, now i don't know if it's just me, my diet, or what but it's becoming a little of a concern and the fact i hate doctors is why i'm coming here first...i'm only 15 too. when i eat i usually get hungry right after sometimes an hour after, sometimes 20mins , sometimes 2hours it all changes. i am also extremely thirsty all the time, i could just pretty much drink and drink, and when i don't eat i get the sweats, kinda shaky and feel like i am going to pass out, now i think thats the case for most people maybe when ther hungry i don't know. i heard a sympton is passing urine alot which i don't have, also i got glass about 10months ago which my eye doctor say is weird my vision got worse so sudden, and i think they got worse since which i am going to him in oct,...now i don't know if all my things i'm having are random and have nothing to do with this or what? what do you all think? should i talk to my mom about thiss? is then anything i can figure out if i have itt? please help and god bless < 3

Im a 17 year old type 1 diabetic... and I have had this cruddy disease since I was 9. All my " diabetic" life I have heard, " Oh, they are so close to finding a cure " or " Just a few more years now " Im tired of hearing that over and over again, and I am starting to lose hope in one day being diabetes free. I know technology has come so far, and diabetics today can live almost the same as anyone else, but if you ask any diabetic, it just isn't the same.I myself do not think there will be a cure in my lifetime, but I would love to hear other peoples thoughts

Symptoms of Juvenile Diabetes?
My family has a large history of juvenile diabetes, and I am " in danger" of this. my cousin, who is 1 year older than me, was recently released from the hospital after collapsing no one put the symptoms together I want to be prepared. Recently I have been always hungry, but I feel too sick to eat much. I am always tired and thirsty, and i urinate a lot. I can hardly concentrate I have also grown a few inches in the past months, but LOST weight I do not know if these are Diabetes symptoms, or something else, but I'm starting to get worried.all serious answers are appreciated, and thanks in advance.
Question about Juvenile Diabetes or Type 1 Diabetes?
My father got diabetes when he was 17 and he is now 54 and doing pretty well. Nobody on my mom's side or my husband's side has juvenile diabetes. My Dad's sister's daughter's son got it when he was 6. I heard Juvenile diabetes skips generation. I am 30 and planning to start a family but worried about my children getting this disease. How common is it to pass this to grand kids? Please provide as much info you have. Really appreciate it.

okay so I was diagnose with juvenile diabetes in march and I have not gone to the doctors yet. I am in the honey moon stage so lucky i've managed. SO that brings me to the next thought. I am terrified of needles and I think I am starting to some out of the honey moon stage because my sugar has been higher then ever lately. So I know there going to give me insulin. I am so scared. I am terrified of needles, to an extreme point. I am 18 yo and when i have to go to the doctors to get a shot i freak out and cry, yeah i know baby. I cant help it though. I don't know how i am suppose to give my self shots every day.I am just scared about the whole thing. Does anyone have any suggestions or help. What happens in an appointment, what does and insulin shot feel like, should i be scared. Does any one remember Thor first appointment. Any one willing to talk to me?People with juvenile diabetes please, adult onset is completely different.
