Diabetic heart problems?
First some background info I'm 28 and have type " 1.5" diabetes. In other words, my pancreas is gradually shutting down despite all treatments. 5 years ago, when I found out that I was diabetic, I managed to control my blood sugar with diet... Sort of. Now I'm insulin dependant and taking 4 shots a day. Just recently, when I thought my pancreas was shot, it decided to take another dive. Over night, it would seem, my insulin needs have increased and now my ratios and my correction factor are incorrect. More playing and guessing. Joy. So that's where I'm at now.For the past while, I've been experiencing some strange heart stuff. It's like my heart is racing but my pulse and blood preasure are normal. This usually happens at a rest. There's no sweating or shortness of breath. It doesn't hurt. There's just a tightness in my chest... Like butterflies. It freaks me out because something is not right. Most people have concluded that this is just anxiety. I can't help but wonder if this has something to do with the diabetes. Perhapes glucose spikes? I am also tired all the time regardless of how much sleep I've gotten. I'm starting some vitamins and minerals for the tiredness.So does anyone know what's going on?
Diabetic seizures, help?
My doctor said I might be having diabetic seizures, probably hypoglycemia and im not sure how to control it he wont do anything till blood work comes back. Im currently on weight watchers that's when the signs started happening, is there is diet for people with hypoglycemia? what do I do while waiting for the test results?
