My hands are sticky when I wake up. If this a sign of diabetes?
A week ago I woke with my left hand sticky. Soon the right one was too. I've tried rubbing and have used four different kinds of soap, including dish washing soap. The only thing that gets rid of it is wetting my hands and scrubbing with salt. This has happened three times in the past week. My blood sugar is 77 taken by a friend so I don't know when I ate.
Question about diabetes?
I just found out that my glucose leves were a little high normally very low w diagnosis of hypogycemia for a few years , and ketones were present.I read that ketones can be a result of your body burrning fat for energy, but wouldn't I be losing weight?What else could do this besides Diabetes?
How to explain to my bestfriend that I have diabetes ?
I'm a girl this isn't my account , im 16 in the 10th grade and my bestfriend is a guy and we've been bestfriends for the longest. I've been pretty good at hiding the fact that I have diabetes from everyone.. My teachers are cool with the fact the I want to hide it so Instead of asking to go to the nurse to test all the time, I just ask to go to the bathroom and they know what I mean.. Anyway, today we took a field trip to one of the elementary schools and in order for me to go, I had to have a bag of all the stuff I needed. He kept asking questions about why I needed so much fluids all the time and why I kept going off from the group we were with. Obviously I was not gonna tell him right there so I said oh I seen someone I know or it's just really hot and I'm thirsty. it's was actually kinda chilly today so he's my bestfriend and I don't want to be able to hide secretes from him so how do I tell him? Should I just come out and say I have diabetes and hope he doesn't think different of me or should I sit him down and show him all my stuff and everything I need to do? Anyone have any experiences with something like this? Thank you. cool, you sound completely uneducated right now. " it's not that big of a deal?" lol, get diabetes and see how 'easy' it is to deal with it. Just because your friend is open with it doesn't mean everyone who has diabetes is willing to announce it to everyone.

I have a healthy BMI and I used to exercise a lot but lately I find no motivation in doing it. I am incredibly thirsty most of the time. Scars take longer to heal. Eyes hurt like hell when I don't have my sunglasses on. I weigh about 110lbs at a height of 5'4" and I'm not crazy about sugar in fact I only take it with my coffee but today I had a bottle of pop from the vending machine and I nearly passed out. I was so sleepy so I went home had to lie down and now I have a tension headache. What's going on? I'm not taking any medication. Is this so form of diabetes?

Hi, I am a female on my husbands accounts . I have type 1 diabetes, and I gain a lot of weight in my stomach to where I look pregnant. I generally take my insulin in my stomach, so I'm uncertain if this is why. It's really annoying because I get asked if I am pregnant a lot I'm not , and I do look like I am, sometimes. And then with my birth control, sometimes I bloat, and I REALLY look pregnant then. What can I do? Is there like a better diet plan for diabetics I can follow? I don't eat a lot, so I know it's not really because of that. I do need to exercise, though.

Hi All,I am 31 years old.On 03rd April 2012 My FBS level was 194. Then doctor said I am having diabetes and asked me to completely avoid sugar and do regular exercise and didn't prescribe any medication. Over the last few weeks after following doctors orders my FBS levels were140.8, 131.9, 110.3 and today it was 94.7 18 May 2012 . But my PPBS is 99.6 27 April 2012 .My last six months were very stressful with the job and also I had sleeping disorders since the last employer wanted to work from 3PM in the evening to 12 midnight. But I quit from that job immediately I found out that I have diabetes and I took a vacation and expect to take the vacation till 30th June 3months . I enjoyed my vacation and spend some quality time with my family wife and 1 year old daughter . My father has diabetes.My problem is have I got diabetes or is it due to the stressful time that I had? Will my diabetes condition is temporary or permanent? please give your ideas.Many thanks.
