My mum was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and is not working due to ill health can she claim benefits because of her condition ?

im 33 and ive been overweight for a while , i have quite a big belly . im not massively obese or overweight but im quite heavy .ive was tested for diabetes early this year and it was clear , my urine was tested .i was tested last year via my blood and it was clear .i dont have any diabetes in my family but i know that doesnt matter .i joined the gym near me about a year ago and have been trying to attend at least twice a week building up to 3 times a week .going there using the treadmill which im good at , then doing a few weight machines , then down into the swimming pool to do as many lengths as i can manage.but ive not been to the gym for 4 weeks now because ive had a lot on my mind and a few other concerns , i also have an anxiety disorder so i lost focus for those weeks but im trying to get back in the gym and step it up once more with my attendance .ive tried to cut back to on my takeaway food orders.im worried because earlier i saw a lloyd pharmacy advert warning of type 2 diabetes.the lady said '' are you getting older ? have a bit of a stomach ? , lack exercise ? this could lead to type 2 diabetes but if caught early it can be reversed , call into are chemists and get tested and we can advise on how to reverse it ''this advert worried me . i do plan to get into the gym soon back to at least attending twice a week , i plan to eat more healthily as sometimes im careless with what i eat.im panicking even though my diabetes tests so far have arrived back clear.i was just hoping for some reassurance really .thanks
