Has anybody ever participated in diabetes research?
My fiance is thinking about participating in diabetes research and I'm a little bit hesitant about it. It is a phase I trial, meaning they're testing it for safety. He's 23 years old. The trial is using 2 drugs, both already approved by the FDA, together. I can't remember what the 2 drugs are, but their safety has never been tested when they are taken together. I'm proud of him for helping in this research, but I'm nervous..
I am trying to raise money for diabetes research, do you have any ideas on what I could sell for a fundraiser?
I do little fundraisers here and there and this time I wanna try selling different things. I know chocolate and baked goods are good but i have been considering hand made bracelets, custom made cups, shirts, etc. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks
Is this a good topic for a diabetes research paper?
I am a college freshman. I have a 5 page research paper I have to write. We shared our topics in class today. I chose Type 1 diabetes vs. Type 2 diabetes and why one of the disease names should be changed. My reasons are Type 2 gives Type 1 a bad name Because of that, that could get in the way of research for Type 1 the general public, despite all the media attention, still really has no idea the difference between the two, which could once again get in the way of researchBasically, Type 2 gives Type 1 a bad name and it's always in the media. Changing the names could potentially help. SO I shared my topic and my teacher totally roasted me in front of the class on my topic and how he didn't like it I think he's a Type 2 diabetic maybe....... So I think I'm gonna change it because he pretty much straight up roasted me in front of the class, but do you think I would be able to write a paper on this? Any poitns I should mention?

Why isn't diabetes research publicized as much as cancer research...or any other conditions?
I have lived with type one juvenile diabetes for 13 almost 14 years. I know I am one of millions. But lately, more like the last several years, all the media and attention has gone to researching and funding to find a cure for cancer. I know many people are lost due to the life altering disease, but think of the many other similar experiences that don't get as much attention or funding.
