Can you give me some diabetes information?
Mainly what I'm want to know is if there is a way to, is there an easy way to estimate blood glucose increase by amount of carbs. and sugars per serving?For example when her my niece sugar is a little low she gets a set amount of juice. Then a bit later we check it then go from there. Could i get the amount of carbs & sugars from that juice box, half them and then use that to estimate how many pieces of gummis she can have?Thanks good info. I'll look into the noninvasive tester. She will be happy to hear that she loves the chocolate. We plan on getting her a pump as soon as the doc. says she is ready for one.

Specialist diabetes information required about losing weight, please.?
I am a type one diabetic injecting insulin 3 to 5 times per day. I am 40 years old and am desperate to get rid of my beer belly. I have cut out all the scrumptious things that I know will make me fat, and I eat more fresh fruit and veggies. I have also reduced my overall carb intake and lowered my insulin dosage while still maintaining good blood glucose levels. I have also been weight training for almost a year and doing insane circuit training workouts since Christmas, but I just cannot lose ANY weight.I know it is hard for an insulin dependant diabetic to lose weight, but why is it? And more importantly, how can I lose this blubber cos it's really getting me down? Please don't say eat less and exercise more cos it doesn't always work for a diabetic. Please can only those with the specific information reply?Ginny Jin, excuse me for laughing at your answer. Trust me that is NOT happening. But thanks for your answer it has certainly cheered me up And 'Lovely', yes I have gained some extra muscle but it's my belly that is really p ssing me off. I really need to get rid of some fat if all the chicks on the beach in June are to see my muscles, he says laughing to himself.
