hey, so i'm 15 years old and diabetes is passed down on my dads side. My dad and grandma has it and worried that i might have it, i weighed 16 stone in know its large but meh but i've dropped 2 3 in a couple of months without doing much, i feel ill all of the time and tired
I can't control my diabetes help?
I am 16 years old and I've had type 1 diabetes for almost 5 yrs now and not once in the 5 yrs have I been able to control it. the thing is what bothers me is the fact that I don't care about it. i never take me insulin because it simply just doesn't come to me I always forget. I hate it, it has given me anxiety and depression and I was forced to go counselling but it didn't help because I would never let my feelings out. I don't talk to anybody about my depression or this stupid disease. I honestly can never see myself overcoming this. I know that I have already done so much damage to my body but I really don't care. you may think I'm stupid for not controlling it but a physically and emotionally can't do it and can't bring myself to ask for help. please please please help. i don't know what to do my whole family think I'm cured and never talk about it they don't know anything about me. it's only my mom who is tells me to take my insulin and takes my to hospital appointments. i know she's really worried and i want to do it for her but i just can't please help me. MY SYMPTOMS vomiting like i feel all good then i feel faint then bluh peeing like i last week went 4 times a day and naw 9 times a day pain in hands and my feet are cold im very hot or very cold my eyes are red and always water and hurt my skin is always dry my dad has type one and almost all his family he got it at 12 but the rest st 24 or late 40s my mom is worrid and so am i can i tell if i have it at home cus money in tight and if i have the flue then there goses the money plus my breth smells fruity help and thanks

can i still eat sweets in moderation after i control my type 1 diabetes ? how long will it take me to manage it? i travel a lot so im just very depressed that i won't get to eat the things i want to eat anymore

ok sothe last 2 days i been thirsty as hell i drink water mainly. it feel as tho its my tongue thats really dry at some points of the day. but basically thats the only symptom.... i read that frequent urination is 1, but i believe its because i been drinking alot of water. another is extreme hunger which i do not feel. unusual weight loss did not happen. and fatigue n irritability which is not happening to me. i just feel like my tongue is dry. if not diabetes what could this be? also i am 17 turning 18 in one month. help plzzzzz

Since diabetes is blocking your body from sucking in the max input of glucose, could it help your cancer not to develop at such a fast rate?

ive been a type 1 diabetic for about a year now. i use the pens not a meter. i am decently thin to the point where there isnt a whole lot of extra skin and fat to grab onto for my shots. i just opened a new pen and took a shot to bring me down and then i checked and my numbers didnt come down. does this mean that insulin wont help me anymore or am i becoming more immune?

Hi my hands had hurt a little my knuckles mostly and my wrist do sometimes but I play sports year round aren't that thisty go the bathroom not a lot but a little I guess and I'm not always thirsty but then I thought I had carpal tunnel but then I realized I don't think I could cuz I don't type much or text much then I saw that dieted ur hands get tingly they never it tingly till I read it then my feet did a little bit I'm on the heavy side to please help I practically in tears

I'm only 14,going through puberty. I'm pretty skinny. I don't want to get checked out by a doctor before I'm certain there's a possibilty I might have it. Usually I feel nausea, I have had an increase in hunger, I lose feeling in my legs very easily, my eyes sometimes get blurry. I would say I've lost weight. I get tingly numb hands and feet after a while.

about 6 months ago, my blood sugar was 109 after eating. I do not have diabetes but my sister does, and today i was urinating a lot without having drank much. I know that 109 is a good score after eating and i even had a cookie. Is there any possibility that within six months i could have developed diabetes? would my number had been higher if i was developing it? thanks

im a 13 year old girl and ive been noticing some symptoms that might be diabetes. my grandpa has it, too. my symptoms are headachesfrequent urinationtrouble swallowingfatigueand weight loss. as in, ive lost almost 4 pounds in less than a week on a normal diet. I exercise a lot but I wouldnt say im the most healthy eater. help? thoughts?

I was diagnosed yesterday, Saturday 21, 2012 with diabetes, I'm 49, I had been drinking all kinds of fluids and using the restroom like a sieve for over 6 weeks. Now I have diabetes. I was feeling quite well. What kind of advice can you give me, a new comer?
